Alliance for Global Growth

Dunedin is a member of The Alliance for Global Growth, a global network of ambitious lower mid-market Private Equity firms and the first of its kind to span Europe and North America.

Internationalisation is a primary growth strategy for the companies in which we invest. Through years of experience, we recognise that local knowledge and trusted relationships are a critically important factor in the successful internationalisation of any business. Our investee companies benefit significantly from the access to a broad network and international perspective that the Alliance provides.

The Alliance for Global Growth currently includes ten members drawn from Western Europe and the United States. In addition to Dunedin, the network includes Nordic mid-market specialist, Axcel; Finatem, a German private equity fund focused on the Mittelstand; French mid-market house Nixen; Nazca, a leading Spanish mid-market firm; and US investors Harris Preston Partners, Brentwood Associates, Stone Goff, Wincove and Silver Oak Services Partners.

International Advisory Board

The Dunedin International Advisory Board was set up to assist our investee companies with their internationalisation strategies.

The members of the Board bring with them a wealth of international experience gained across a variety of sectors. We are able to draw on their experience, knowledge and networks in order to add value to the companies in which we invest.


 

Daejee Chin

Daejee Chin

Dajee Chin has an exceptional track record of investing and growing businesses within the information and communications technology sector.
 
Dajee Chin is founder, CEO and Chairman of Skylake Investment Company, based in Seoul, Korea. Skylake is the largest technology investment company focusing on private equity funds operating in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and ICT Convergence Industry. Skylake’s total funds under management are U$2bn. 
 
Dajee is also a member of the Advisory Committee of the Korea Constitutional Court and Chair Professor of the Korea Advance Institute of Science and Technology. He is acknowledged as one of Korea’s best ICT experts, also running an Advanced Management Programme offered to CEO’s in the Hi-tech sector since 2006. In addition, he is Chairman of the Global IT Leader Forum Foundation, where he has been organising an executive MBA class for CEO’s of SME’s in the ICT sector since 2007.
 
Between 2003 and 2006, Dajee was the Minister of the Ministry of Information and Communication of Korea. Dajee started his career at Samsung, as a Senior Project Manager and successfully led its semi-conductor business as a General Manager, contributing to making Samsung the leading semi-conductor memory company in the world. In 2000, he became the CEO/President of the Digital Media Business of Samsung Electronics, which had an annual turnover over $15bn. He later became President and CEO of Samsung Electronics Co, Seoul, Korea.
 
In the early part of his career Dajee was a researcher at IBM Research, USA and at Hewlett-Packard, USA. Dajee has a BS and MS in Electronics Engineering from the Seoul National University, an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an Honorary Doctorate in Management from Sejong University, Korea.  Dajee has won a number of awards and has published two books: “Manage Your Passion” and “Computer Aided Design & VLSI Device Development.”
