On 16th September 2017, Dunedin and Clearwater International entered two teams into the Impetus-Private Equity Foundation (“Impetus-PEF”) Triathlon which took place at Dorney Lake, Windsor.
The teams included Dunedin’s Nicol Fraser, Sophie Chambers and Katie Chung; and Clearwater’s Marcus Archer and Natasha Eden.
Supported by the BVCA, the Impetus-PEF Triathlon is the only major sporting event for the private equity community. It brings together industry professionals and their families to raise much needed funds to help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Impetus-PEF aims to transform the lives of 11-24 year olds from disadvantaged backgrounds by ensuring that they get the support they need to succeed in education, find and keep jobs, and achieve their potential. It provides management support, pro bono expertise and funding to the most promising charities and social enterprises so that they can in turn develop and expand the services that they provide to young people.
Nicol Fraser, Partner at Dunedin and one of the firm’s triathletes said: “We very much enjoyed taking part in the only sporting event for private equity and associated industries and to making a real contribution to the lives of young people in the UK. There is certainly no lack of strong competitive spirit in our industry and it is great to be able to draw on this to support such a great cause.”
