Dougal Bennett joined Dunedin in 1999. He is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities in London. He has experience in the construction and specialist manufacturing sectors. He led the buyouts of WFEL, Capula, Letts Filofax, Gardner and Caledonian. He currently sits on the Board of WFEL and has represented Dunedin on the Boards of a number of other companies.
He graduated with an honours degree in biochemistry from the University of Edinburgh in 1989, having also studied at the University of Pennsylvania. He worked for Hill Samuel Development Capital in London before joining Bank of Scotland in the structured finance department where he was a Director. He joined Société Générale in 1997 as Head of the European Leverage Finance team.
