Brian Scouler joined Dunedin in 2001 and sits on the board of four portfolio companies. He was appointed Managing Director, Portfolio in 2005 and is responsible for portfolio strategy. He has held over 20 portfolio board positions and has had a further ten monitoring roles. This experience enables him to add considerable value and expertise to portfolio companies, particularly in the approach to exit.
He graduated in accountancy from Glasgow University in 1979 and qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 1982, working in Glasgow and South Africa. He joined Citicorp Investment Bank in London in 1986 before moving to Charterhouse Development Capital in 1987. He was a founder director of Royal Bank Development Capital in 1993, where he was responsible for the creation and subsequent running of the portfolio management unit.
