Gardner's parent company was in trouble when Dunedin first invested. The firm then had to replace the management team and take out its private equity co-owner before successfully turning the company around. "

Dunedin won the "Sale of the Year" at the 2006 Scottish Business Insider's Deal and Dealmakers Awards for the sale of Letts Filofax, the market leading supplier of personal organisers and diaries, to Phoenix Equity Partners for £45 million. This represented a six times money multiple and an IRR of 52% over five years.
